Q: Do I have to try out?
A: Nope! If you want to play, you're in!
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Almost nothing! Discs are provided for the duration of the season. However, if you want to practice on your own time, you will have to buy your own discs which range in price from $5-$30 each.
Q: I thought you had to pay to play sports at WKC...
A: Yes, if you play one sport, it usually costs $30. If you play two, it's $60, but that is the most you'll have to pay to play sports at West Kildonan, even if you play 6 sports, it's still only $60. These fees cover athletic banquet costs, equipment, and tournament fees.
Q: What kind of equipment will I need?

Q: How long is the season?
A: We will be practicing on Wednesdays in May after school at Kilcona Park Lakes. The season will end with the Manitoba Organization of Disc Sports Provincial Championship Tournament. See the schedule for more details.
Q: Where and when do we practice?
A: Practices will be at Kilcona Park Lakes Practices will be on Wednesdays in May from 3:30pm until around 6:00pm. You can always check the schedule to make sure.
Q: How do I get to the practices off campus?
A: If you'd like a map, check the courses tab at the top of the page. If you need a ride or have space in your vehicle, talk to your team mates and arrange some carpooling here. Essentially, you're in charge of getting yourself to practices and games.
Q: What does practice look like?
A: Usually, the first half hour will be spent building skills, doing drills, and playing mini games. After that, we will play a round of 9 holes. For a sneak peak at each practice plan, click here.
Q: Is it competitive?
A: Competing against others is optional. Your mission is not to get ahead of others, your mission is to get ahead of yourself. I expect real effort and focus but since it's an individual sport, you never have to worry about letting your team mates down.
Q: What are the best discs for me to get and where should I get them?
